Colposcopy Service

This private colposcopy service is provided by consultant gynaecologists and pathologists with a large NHS colposcopy practice at Frimley Park Hospital near Camberley, Surrey. The hospital is situated on the borders of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. Currently, private colposcopy clinics are held at Frimley Park and BUPA Hospital Clare Park, near Farnham in Surrey.

The doctors who provide this service, both colposcopists and pathologists, have a major interest in the management of cervical precancer and cancer. The team hold regular meetings and discuss their practice - both NHS and private patients may have their management carefully evaluated, if, as often happens there is a minor discrepancy between smear, biopsy and colposcopy findings.

Dr. Phillipa Denham MRCPath. Consultant histopathologist Frimley Park Hospital. Lead pathologist for gynaecological cancer and participant in national External Quality Assurance scheme for histopathology reporting in gynaecological cancer. Member of the British Association of Gynaecological Pathologists. 

Dr. Louise Daborn MRCPath. Consultant cytopathologist, Frimley Park and Royal Surrey County Hospitals. Lead pathologist for cervical cytology. Lead trainer for cervical smear cytoscreening and member of national assessment panel for cervical cytology laboratories
